This page contains links to Situation Reports issued for major
emergencies and disasters that affect Ripley county, and provides a centralized point from
which to view them.
Typically during large-scale emergencies, Situation Reports are issued at a minimum of
every 12 hours, more frequently during the initial stages of the event. Although these
reports contain the same information provided to other county, state and federal agencies,
some details such as names may be omitted from the public version to protect privacy of
individuals, details of ongoing investigations, and other information that may not be
suitable for release to the general public. Note also that each subsequent report may
contain corrections or modifications of details from previous reports and will not contain
information from previous reports, therefore you are encouraged to read all of the reports
for a single event rather than just the last one.
RCEMA coordinates and records details about many different events each year. The
significant emergencies fall into one of two categories:
Incidents: Incidents are
emergencies that involve fatalities, hazardous materials, or any other event that involves
a response from a county, state or federal agency, excluding RCEMA.
Missions:
These are major
emergencies and/or events that involve a response by RCEMA personnel and/or multiple
county and state agencies.
